Subject: From: Date: | a cute trick that i recently discovered (placing Page elements *within*
video/images) Mark Gilmore Wed, 05 Dec 2007 11:19:45 -0500 |
in ECS Pages displaying video or images, you can position Page elements *within* them.
even with live video streams, such overlaid elements are perfectly preserved on-screen.
For example: If you had a live video of a room in which ECS controlled a lamp,
then you could place the ECS lamp **directly underneath the real lamp**.
note that only the value would need to be displayed (via the "value.app" applet file).
you don't need the lamp icon, as it would be redundant (the real lamp is right there
!).
and you don't need the name, as it is obvious which lamp is being controlled.
regards,
