Our Barionet (with an extension module such as X8 or IO12) would deem 
ideal for that - the product is sold a lot for those
applications. And it is very easy to program it. I use them in my home of 
course (for lighting, shades, heating control, 
access control with RFID readers etc), but i am not alone, they are used 
in quite some commercially available home control systems too.
