If your working on it for some other reasons, a Linux version will be 
welcome, and not bad even if not many people move to Linux.
In my opinion, Linux would be best for an embedded ECS-hardware (we 
talked about that last winter).

Oh, I agree with your behaviour. But I'd love taking the best of both 
worlds. Things I loved most (I didn't sell them ,it was just an hobby) 
recently, was porting Open Source Linux sources to Windows C++! How many 
hours, but how nice having some Windows library written by myself.
