RE ECS/Linux:
One thing I am concerned about is TTS (text-to-speech),
as I found the Festival package to be extremely difficult.
So I would prefer to find a free alternative if one exists.
The ideal solution would simply be a command-line pgm that would
accept 2 arguments: The text to speak and the .wav file to write it to.
So if you run across such an animal, please let me know.
