I use the x10 wireless remotes and I have an old Stanley wireless remote
that still works as well. If you want custom assigned codes, what I do is
do it in software. ECS can listen to the code, say A1, and "interpret" it
as something else or run a script or whatever.

Subject: [ecs] Good X10 remotes
Are there any fancy x10 wireless remotes out there? I used to have
Nutone Mega36 remotes because I wanted more buttons, but they suck and
have all died.
I would love buttons that can be individually assigned codes, not the
whole remote to A or B or C.
Does anybody know of any killer remotes? (not multiple hundreds of
dollars)
thanks
dan
