I'm not a  Linux guy,  so I   can't help there.    I have  static  addresses
on each  of  my machines, work  and home.  All  my  machines  are  win2000.
When  I run VNCViewer,  I just  put in the ip address of  the machine  I
want to  control/connect to (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx), and wa-la... remote control.
