linux install clarification

FYI:
On the 2nd install:
1) I DISabled the firewall.
     So I must assume that the firewall was blocking connect attempts in 
the 1st install.
2) I selected "Install EVERYTHING", which included things NOT listed in the 
check-boxes,
     one of which was Lokkit - the program to adjust the firewall (which I 
spent hours looking
     for in the 1st install)
     So this appears to be a serious oversight in the RH9 install package,
     as firewall control is a common requirement, and there is no way to 
install it
     without installing "everything".
