Mark -

Can you ping the opposite machine in either direction, or anything else that may be
on the network? You may also want to check your Windows machine - sometimes Windows
will decide it wants to do DHCP and you're trying to do static IP's,

Just thoughts off the top of my head,,,

Leland

For some unknown reason, I have lost the ability to comm btw my Win & Linux
PCs.
I can no longer ping from one to the other, but *can* ping to myself on
both PCs.
I have checked my cables (adapter lights are lit) and the eth hub status
lights look fine.
Any ideas or clues as to where to go from here ?
Thanks,

Mark Gilmore
