Sat, 13 Dec 2003 08:40:37 -0800 Yes - but the blue is bluer than the gray is gray - I had to look really hard to see the gray (I am running on LCDs). This could be a graphics card or monitor cable issue. What controller card are you using? And as a quick next step, try changing the number of colors that your display is set to in the Windows control panel. These images are at the lower end of the contrast scale. Although a full color image may look fantastic, extremes could appear quite a way off. Your eye is very accommodating to large variations in color. One other thing to try: open the pale gray image on paint or somesuch, and zoom way in to see if you can see the color variation within it - looks a bit like a circuit board. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Gilmore [mailto:mark@markgilmore.net] Sent: Saturday, December 13, 2003 7:52 AM To: ecs@netbloc.com Subject: RE: [ecs] new monitor does not display jpg properly The MonitorDirect had no effect. Does http://www.omnipotencesoftware.com/wp bkg.jpg look gray and http://www.omnipotencesoftware.com/sky.jpg look blue to you ? Just checking :-).
