Mark,

I think adding XML support would give ECS a lot of additional capabilities.
For example, XML would be a great way to express the objects in ECS in a
structured way. Using XML to define the objects would greatly simplify
viewing/editing ECS configuration files.

I was thinking of adding XML support to ECS (whereby it's web-server could 
respond to XML-formatted requests).
But I'm not sure what advantages this may bring for new/potential business.
