What my computer dealer does for testing cards etc. is use a PC "inside
out". He simply installed the motherboard on the *outside* of the case.
Note: this is *only* suitable for short-term operation, as this setup
does not provide adequate cooling for the processor.
Other than that, I second what everybody else said: go for USB devices
or the like.
