I should have been reading the inputs *twice* (as I *did* do in ECS-Legacy).
I never really grasped why this was required (which is why I must have 
eliminated the 2nd read some time prior).
If you want this fix now, please email me and I'll send you a zipped ECS.EXE.
I'm VERY sorry for the time that some of you have spent on this problem 
(esp Martin).
