Here's my log file. To be sure that we are on the same terms, by
"console" I am referring to a DOS window that starts up with ECS. It
reflects the contents of main.log attached here.

It isn't a big problem, but it would be nice to figure out what the
difference is as these things have a way of coming back later.

I have tried twice to re-create this problem, but no can do.
The console log is hidden when ECS starts, and the tray buttons work as 
expected.
