Correction, the DOS console does appear on Windows 2000 and the hide and
show log menu items don't work.

Mark,

I archived my current setup of ECS, uninstalled ECS (from Control Panel),
deleted c:\program files\ecs and reinstalled. I started ECS. The DOS console
does not disappear and the "hide log" and "show log" menu items in the
system tray have no effect. I'm running ECS on Windows 2K Server.

For grins, I install ECS 2.3.19 on a Windows XP Professional box and a
Windows 2003 Server box. It installed fine and the DOS console disappeared
as expected.

So, I would guess this is a problem with ECS on Windows 2000. Martin, are
you running Windows 2000?

I have tried twice to re-create this problem, but no can do.
The console log is hidden when ECS starts, and the tray buttons work as
expected.
