I guess I am not familiar with tasklist but I do watch taskmgr (found in
"%SystemRoot%\system32") on my ECS machine (WIN2K Server).  I think it
should at least be similar...   Is tasklist a gui or does it return just a
list?

"tasklist" also seems to be missing in a standard W2K install.

The proper way to do this is "%SystemRoot%\system32\cmd /c "TASKLIST"
proc_pid.tmp 2> NUL" if you want to explicitly call out the windows
dir/subdir...  Will work on any NT based OS (not too sure about 9X)...
