Subject: From: Date: | ECS web problems Reynolds,Martin Tue, 7 Sep 2004 20:36:33 -0700 |

I am having a weird problem with the ECS web interface and Java. It is
repeatable on a couple of machines that used to work with no problem.
Seems to be tied in with 2.3.21 (the latest release, working from memory
here).
What happens is, I completely lose my networking stack after a couple of
screens. IE freezes, and I lose my network -i.e. no access. Can't get IE
back up - the window never shows, even though the tasks are spawned.
"repair network adapter" hangs. Can't disable the network adapter.
Windows won't even shut down, I have to brutalize it with the reset
switch.
Jolly mysterious. I have to do some more troubleshooting - it doesn't
seem to be a Java VM issue, the MS VM also hangs. It COULD be a Windows
SP2 issue.
Anyone seen anything like this? Thoughts for troubleshooting? I'd like
to resolve it, or get it to appoint where I can submit a PR.
