I have one PC with SP2 that has no problem running the ECS web
interface. So it seems to be machine-specific.
It also seems to happen with the Sun and the MS Java VM. I'll play with
it some more later today.

this doesn't sound like a problem that ecs could trigger.
is SP2 on all these PCs ?
