Hi everyone, ECS 2.3.24 has been uploaded to http://OmnipotenceSoftware.com/ECS_SETUP.EXE (Win) and http://OmnipotenceSoftware.com/ecs_linux.zip (Linux). Update history below. For instructions, please see "Installing Updates" section of manual. Regards, Mark Gilmore http://OmnipotenceSoftware.com 2.3.24 ******************** 1) Added support for INVERT Script operator: Sets the Property to the invert of the value: If it is Off or False, it is set to On or True. Otherwise, it is set to Off or False. 2) Added support for a WATCHDOG program (which will restart ECS if it crashes). To enable, create a Text Object as follows and restart: Name: Parameter:WatchDog Class: Choice Choices: Off,On : On 3) Added "SON" (Suppress Object Name) Property to Page Object: If TRUE, the Object's name will be suppressed (e.g. "Clock.Second" would be displayed as "Second"). 4) "Clickable" Property names and values are now displayed as raised buttons. 5) When a clickable Property name/value/image is clicked, any modifications made via Scripts in response to this click are treated as if they were made by the user (and so any errors which result are displayed in the user's web page - not logged to the error log). 6) Added a text field to the Page Add Object menu, so that HTML text can be added to a Page without having to use the Object Editor. 7) Pages may now hold up to 200 elements (up from 100). 8) Modified/enhanced LAYOUT Applet parameter as follows (HORIZONTAL is new): BOX: Icon is displayed to the left of other fields (which appear vertically). VERTICAL: Icon is displayed above other fields (which appear vertically). HORIZONTAL: All fields are displayed left-to-right, starting with the Icon. (undefined) (default): If width >= height, the BOX layout applies. If height > width, the VERTICAL layout applies. 9) All Page applet boxes whose Width is "Def" (default) are now automatically sized to a width which will accommodate the name and/or longest value string (depending on what is displayed). 10) Added new PING Class (to Ping IP addresses): Pings an ethernet IP address (i.e. tests for it's existance). This Class may be used to see if any IP-based device is online (such as a PC or an Internet camera). 11) Enhanced JAVA logic such that page refreshes are faster. 12) Suppressed Object names from Property menus. So a Clock Property menu would display this: Hour Minute Second instead of this: Clock.Hour Clock.Minute Clock.Second 13) Property names are now displayed with a light-gray background (so as to distinguish them from Property values).
