Hi Mark, I already asked for some samples of 1470, months ago, and a 
transmitter too...

...but now, since the app never really started, I have decided to move 
towards ZigBee, using some demo board (to begin with) from Chipcon and 
Microchip.
I have no problem working with those devices, except the RF part is kind 
of tricky so you have to accurately develop boards and so on. Moreover, 
ZigBee seems to have the power to become a powerful standard, and using 
2,4GHz is for sure a best choice.

What are you exactly trying to do?
