Subject: From: Date: | strange clock issue Mark Gilmore Mon, 04 Apr 2005 07:06:23 -0700 |
Anyone out there seeing ECS messages like these ?:
12:37 AM Warning: PC-clock has been set back by 110 seconds
(ECS-time adjusted accordingly)
I assumed they were related to my old PC (which had a faulty clock).
But I am now seeing them on a brand new PC.
I wrote a special time-test pgm to check the clock (so as to eliminate ECS
as the problem),
and sure enough: The clock *is* being set back a few seconds every few
hours or so.
It's as if the clock is running a bit fast, and being periodically adjusted
by ??.
Quite the mystery.
Any clues ?
Thanks
Mark Gilmore
